4/30/2023 0 Comments Amp output factory radioThis kit will probably be more expensive, but still cheaper, better, and easier than any other solution out there (the only solutions I've seen require a LOC setup & still require the Sony DSP) - I'm guessing it's going to sit ~$175 There's nothing else like it on the market. For this harness you'll still need to run a set of RCA cables from the ACM for the individual Subwoofer L/R RCAs. It'll also have an APIM tap to bring the RME/VME80 Lines down to the ACM, allowing for full voice activation to be enabled (this is necessary because before the APIM sent the voices directly to the DSP, not first through the ACM). ![]() will also have a full DSP bypass harness kit for the ST2/3 guys out there (again, along with any Ford with the Sony DSP) - this will convert DSP-side wires to RCAs and give a pigtail for factory speaker wiring to be connected directly to an Amp for super easy installation. I'm personally excited for this so I can run Line-Levels directly out of my ACM instead of running a LOC. It will be a full 5 channel line-level conversion for the ST1/Any base model Ford without the Sony DSP. Heyo &, ya boy is about to have a harness that does this for you this month! I haven't settled on price yet, but it should be around $100. ![]() I'm not sure how this will change for a the preface lift models. If anyone else has anything to add please feel free to let me know. I will work on getting some pics of my install to go with this. The steps are detailed in the linked article so I don't feel a need to go repost them here. Really the only change is 1 speaker is a different color, at least it was in my 2015.Īll wires are found at the Sony Amp, which can be removed.Īfter the wiring is completed you will need to use ForScan to reprogram. I used this post from as a guide: Variable Line Level Preamp Outputs From ACM (Factory Radio) For Amplifier Upgrades I was unable to find a corresponding subwoofer output. Navigation voice doesn't play, need to try the jumper wires detailed in the Fusion how to. This is a work in progress, the below items are what I am still working on: ![]() All you need is an aftermarket amp, no need for an expensive interface or resistors. This will allow you to have RCA outputs from your factory radio, just like an aftermarket deck has. So here is a quick write up on how I did it on my 2015 ST3 w/ Sync 3. There are plenty that have done it on other Ford products, just not for the Focus. I have yet to find anyone else who has tried this on a Focus.
